Mother – Considered the most important types of hardware. The board contains the microprocessor, providing the necessary plugs and slots that connect to all other types of hardware. RAM – short for random access memory. RAM is lost when the computer is off. Serves as a memory for storing programs. Storage devices – external storage devices such as CD, DVD, USB flash drives are important as removable storage devices that can take a personal computer to another. Power Supply (PSU) – which becomes low voltage DC power supply, integral of the internal components of the PC. Mouse – an input device to enter text and characters by pressing the keys.
